A Message From Bill

Members,

I wanted to take a minute to pass along general updates on two of our favorite CRR topics; roads and water.  I also want to remind you that the 9th Annual Canyon Rim Hoe-down is only two weeks away.  The Vander Veur's are hosting the party on August 27 and would really appreciate it if you take a minute to RSVP by clicking on the View Invite button below.  If you are having trouble with the internet RSVP site, just respond to this email and I will pass along the information.  The main dish will be supplied so just bring a side dish, beverages and chairs and be ready to enjoy a great evening with old and new friends.  The Vander Veur's have a great play area for kids and there will be live music for all to enjoy.

We are making progress on the water quality issue.  One of our two water collection areas has tested clean so we are only collecting water from this area and are in the process of cleaning out the entire system.  When water at cabins tests clean we will let you know but until then please continue to boil water before drinking or bring up bottled water.

We have made a number of repairs to the roads this year due to all the weather related problems.  Many of the repairs had to be delayed late into the summer due to the continuing water run-off.  We will continue to make spot repairs, but since it is so late in the season we have decided not to grade the entire road this year.  Our plan is to grade the road (weather permitting) early in the summer next year so that we can maximize the benefit.  This will also allow us to remain within our budget as we have spent considerably more than normal on repairs and if we went forward with the grading at this time it would be a major financial expense with fall right around the corner.

Thanks and let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
