Turns out the weather forecasters weren't kidding! We have had about 2 feet of snow at Canyon Rim in the last 24 hours with more to come in the next few days. The gate will be locked and the road closed to automobile traffic later today. It will be open for a few more hours to let folks out only.
Special thanks to John Forster for assisting a number of folks who would otherwise have a very difficult time getting their vehicles down the mountain today!

Thanks to John for paving the way out with his snow cat - made the ride down in the Suburban a little less scary! Also, thanks for getting Chellie's Excursion unstuck, John and Bob!
